Gonçalo Costa is Portuguese artist born in the suburbs of Lisbon, which has manifested artistic aptitudes from a young age. His backgrounds in visual arts persuaded him to study Photography and Visual Arts at IADE University in Lisbon, Portugal.

Gonçalo has interests in fine art, design, photography with a tendency for geometric and minimal compositions. He was also involved with the semi-professional theater group Sárava Theater based in Moita, Portugal, where he got the chance to explore the correlation between space/human body/light, general compositional matters and the creation of live pictures.

He moved to Scotland in 2013 to develop new artistic potentials and look for new collaborations to improve himself artistically and is currently studying Art and Design at the Edinburgh College.
